Security Officer Access Control

Pay Rate: $20.18 / Hour

Mon 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM, Tue 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM, Wed 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM, Thu 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM, Fri 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM

• Provide customer service by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, visitor screening, and/or credential verification for a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, check identification and authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and report security‑related concerns according to site policies.
• Maintain accurate logs of visitors, deliveries, and/or contractors, and communicate access activity and unusual conditions to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting maintenance issues, access control concerns, and other security‑related observations.

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security‑related license is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
