Employment Type: Full Time/ Hourly / Non-Exempt

Pay Range
: $17-23/hr compensation is based on experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, and shift assignment.

The Security Guard – Gate Attendant is responsible for controlling access to the facility by verifying credentials for employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel. This role helps ensure the safety and security of the property while maintaining professional communication and accurate documentation of all facility traffic. The Gate Attendant serves as the first point of contact for the facility and plays a critical role in supporting site safety, security procedures, and daily operations.

Schedule:
  • Full-time | Permanent Position
  • 8-hour shifts | 24/7 operation
  • Shifts include days, nights, weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.
Available Shifts
  • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Responsibilities
  • Monitor and control access to facility entrances and exits
  • Verify identification and authorization for employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers
  • Enforce company security procedures and facility policies
  • Maintain accurate logs of incoming and outgoing traffic, deliveries, and visitors
  • Coordinate delivery notifications with internal departments
  • Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, or suspicious activity
  • Report and document security concerns, violations, or unusual activity
  • Provide professional assistance and directions to employees and visitors
  • Monitor guardhouse equipment and report any operational issues
  • Maintain a professional and courteous presence at all times
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Active New Jersey SORA Level I/II License required prior to start date
  • Strong observation and communication skills
  • Ability to remain professional in stressful situations
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality required
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Additional Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Criminal background check required
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must successfully complete all SORA licensing requirements before hire date
SORA Licensing Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Obtain a valid NJ State Police Application r
  • Complete fingerprinting through an approved agency (IdentoGO)
  • Successfully complete a NJ State Police certified SORA training course
  • Complete all required steps within the NJSP-required 30-day timeframe
