Position SummaryA Concrete Finisher is responsible for placing and finishing concrete. This role requires skill in working with various concrete tools, attention to detail, and the ability to read and follow blueprints. The Concrete Finisher ensures surfaces meet required specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare work areas by setting, aligning and securing forms.
- Place, spread, and level concrete using hand tools and power equipment.
- Smooth and finish concrete surfaces using floats, trowels, vibrators, screeds, and power trowels.
- Apply curing compounds or protective coatings to maintain surface integrity.
- Read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper use of PPE.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and job site cleanliness.
- Previous experience as a Concrete Finisher or similar role (typically 1–3 years).
- Knowledge of finishing techniques.
- Ability to use finishing tools such as trowels, screeds, bull floats, edgers, and power trowels.
- Ability to read construction drawings and follow written or verbal instructions.
