You’ll Make An Impact By

The Applications Analyst is responsible for supporting, optimizing, and enhancing the clinical and business applications that power urgent care operations. This role combines system configuration, integrations, and data accuracy with user training, workflow optimization, and vendor collaboration. The Applications Analyst serves as a critical link between IT, clinical teams, and administrative staff to ensure smooth and efficient patient care delivery.

What You Will Do Application Support & Workflow Optimization
  • Provide daily support for applications including EHR, practice management, billing, and patient engagement systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user issues; escalate and manage vendor support when necessary.
  • Configure templates, forms, and workflows to improve provider documentation, patient registration, scheduling, and billing processes.
  • Train end users and create user‑friendly documentation to support adoption of system features.
Technical Configuration & Integration
  • Configure and maintain applications, ensuring alignment with clinical and operational requirements.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using SQL or reporting tools to support operations, compliance, and leadership decision‑making.
  • Manage interfaces (HL7, APIs) with labs, imaging centers, billing systems, and third‑party tools.
  • Test and implement system upgrades, patches, and new features, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Collaborate with IT infrastructure/security teams to maintain system performance, reliability, and HIPAA compliance.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Act as a liaison between staff, IT, and vendors to resolve issues and implement enhancements.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with clinical and operational leadership to identify workflow challenges and recommend technology‑driven improvements.
  • Support projects related to patient experience, telehealth, and urgent care innovation.
  • Stay current with healthcare IT trends and best practices in urgent care operations.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience supporting healthcare applications in urgent care, ambulatory care, or outpatient setting
  • Hands‑on experience with EHR and practice management systems (Experity strongly preferred).
  • Proven technical knowledge: SQL reporting, HL7, APIs, system integrations
  • Understanding of urgent care workflows: registration, triage, provider documentation, labs, imaging, discharge, billing
  • Excellent communication and training skills, with ability to translate technical concepts into practical guidance
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and healthcare IT security standards.
  • Experity experience is a plus.
Key Skills & Requirements
  • Project management or process improvement experience
  • Proficiency in analyzing and troubleshooting problems effectively
  • Solid understanding of general information technology policies and procedures
  • Capable of gathering business or clinical requirements to facilitate application implementation and support
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with integration engines (e.g., Rhapsody, Mirth)
  • Experience supporting telehealth platforms, diagnostic device integration, or patient engagement tools
  • Fast‑paced environment requiring strong problem‑solving and multitasking skills
