Vinton, VA, US, 24179 – Rosie’s Gaming Emporium – Vinton

Responsible for painting interiors and exteriors of building; may include parking lot. Responsible for proper maintenance and repair of property and equipment.

• Performs general painting and touch‑ups while taking care of painting tools.
• Performs general electrical repairs and modifications, general plumbing repairs and modifications, and general carpentry.
• Assists with all aspects of landscaping.
• Performs preventive maintenance inspections of all facility‑related equipment and systems; makes repairs and adjustments as necessary.
• Keeps the supervisor informed of any problems or issues.
• Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position’s supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Good verbal/written communication, problem‑solving, and math skills.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals, documents, and drawings.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from Team Members, regulatory agencies, or members of the staff.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to multitask in a high‑volume environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or technical certifications in related fields preferred.
• Two years’ work experience in related field.
• Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.

• The Team Member will be required to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
• The Team Member may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
• The Team Member may be required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• The Team Member may be required to work in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and vibration.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
• The work environment may vary in levels of crowds, noise, flashing lights, and smoke, depending on the assigned station and guest volume.
