Foster Care Development Specialist

Health Connect America, Inc. seeks a Foster Care Development Specialist to build and support high quality foster homes for children and youth. In this role, you will recruit, screen, and train foster parents; complete home studies; and monitor homes for safety and compliance. You'll collaborate closely with clinical and case management teams to promote stable, therapeutic placements and provide coaching and crisis support to caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and screen prospective foster families through outreach and community engagement
• Coordinate and deliver foster parent orientation, training, and ongoing development
• Conduct home studies, assessments, and documentation in line with agency and state standards
• Collaborate with clinical, case management, and community partners to support stable placements
• Monitor foster homes for quality, compliance, and safety through regular contact and visits
• Provide coaching, resources, and crisis support to foster parents and caregivers
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and data in electronic health and case management systems
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, staffing, and care planning
• Educate community partners about foster care needs and agency services
• Support continuous improvement of foster care programming and outcomes
