Responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, revenue recognition, expense reports, and payroll.

Develop and implement effective financial strategies, manage budgeting and forecasting, and analyze financial reports to identify opportunities for improvement.

Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of changes in financial regulations and legislation.

Prepare accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management, supporting strategic decision‑making processes.

Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.

Lead and mentor junior accounting staff, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly advantageous).

Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the energy industry.

Proven expertise in budgeting, financial analysis, and strategic planning.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and legislation.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail.

Superior leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information to non‑financial stakeholders.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high‑quality work.

Strong problem‑solving skills and sound decision‑making based on data analysis.

High level of integrity and professionalism, handling confidential information discreetly.
