Sr Billing Specialist

Overview

Sr Premium Billing Specialist III — Responsible for accurately balancing and reconciling health plan accounts receivable (AR). Researches, posts and reconciles cash receipts and AR premiums. The Premium Billing Analyst directs an assigned group.

• Balance and reconcile health plan accounts receivable (AR).
• Research, post, and reconcile cash receipts and AR premiums.
• Direct an assigned group and provide mentorship/guidance to the team.
• Perform accounting tasks related to Accounts Receivable, including posting payments, handling write-offs and refunds, and supporting phone/customer service recovery as needed.
• Support related AR processes using relevant tools and systems.

• Education:
  
  High School Graduate or equivalent
• Certification/Licensure:
  No specific certification or licensure requirements
• Experience:
  
  5 years related experience required
• Skills:
  
  strong communication, accounting, accounts receivable, posting payments, experience with write-offs and refunds
• Technical:
  Excel (development/creation, pivot tables, spreadsheets);
  Outlook;
  Microsoft Teams; experience with dashboards; familiarity with Workday
