Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description

The Customer Service & Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional customer support while managing accounts receivable functions, payment processing, collections, account reconciliation, and billing inquiries. This position serves as a key point of contact for customers and internal departments, ensuring accurate account maintenance and timely resolution of payment-related issues.

+ Post customer payments including checks, ACH, and credit card transactions.

+ Maintain and update customer account information.

+ Assist with invoicing, billing, and account reconciliation.

+ Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on past-due accounts.

+ Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account status.

+ Research and resolve customer account discrepancies.

+ Answer incoming phone calls and emails and provide general customer support.

+ Prepare reports, maintain records, and perform data entry.

+ Assist with filing and other administrative duties as needed.

Requirements

+ High school diploma or equivalent required.

+ 1+ years of experience in customer service, accounts receivable, billing, or administrative support preferred.

+ Basic understanding of accounting principles and receivables processes.

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.

+ Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

+ Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
