Job Description
We are seeking a GFEBS Operator to join our federal team supporting the Fort Myer military base in Arlington, VA. Fort Myer is home to the Arlington National Cemetery, and our team is responsible for the maintenance and service of the HVAC mechanical and HVAC Controls (Building Automation Systems) for over 100 buildings and residences across the base.
This position will be responsible for opening and closing maintenance work requests, creating work order forms and reports using the Army’s GFEBS (General Fund Enterprise Business System), answering incoming phone calls and emails to process maintenance and service requests, and scheduling the day‑to‑day activities of the facility maintenance teams. The candidate will process and administer all work order requests, handle customer trouble calls, and manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Follow‑up will be performed as needed to assure customer satisfaction with work order requirements.

Shift: Monday‑Friday, Day shift hours

As a GFEBS Operator / CMMS Admin, You Will- Receive all written and electronic customer work requests, verify completeness of all entries, enter information into CMMS, issue work order tickets, determine appropriate supervisor, and close work orders upon completion.
- Communicate with requestors to determine total scope of work and priority of the work to be performed, keeping them apprised of status until completion.
- Administer the preventative maintenance tracking and documentation programs, assign and distribute work to the appropriate supervisor, review scope and frequency of assignments, and make changes where required.
- Act as contact/liaison between Operations & Maintenance (O&M) staff and the requesting department for planning and scheduling of work performed by the O&M site team.
- Attend daily/weekly meetings with facility maintenance management to develop the next day/week’s schedule, review status of scheduled work orders, and discuss new, incoming work orders.
- Submit written notifications to departments to coordinate upcoming shutdowns.
- Utilize the computerized maintenance management system to manage work order history, track job status, and monitor repair costs.
- Identify opportunities to improve process, planning or performance through analysis of work order flow, project demands and expectations.
- Provide a formal system for planning, completing, and reporting facility maintenance activities via CMMS.
- Coordinate LAN/WAN network connectivity issues with the customer’s IT department.
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards.
- Perform other duties as required.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in scheduling/planning activities.
- 2+ years of CMMS experience or equivalent.
- Proficiency working the Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management and customer interface skills.
- Problem‑solving and innovative resolution ability and the ability to be a highly effective team member.
- The ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances and/or badges as required to perform site duties (background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit check).
