Job Title: Household Manager and Family Assistant
Location: Virginia Beach, VA 23455
Employment Type: Part-Time (10-15 hours/ week)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, flexible daytime hours; 2-3 hours/day
Compensation: $30-$35 per hour based on experience

We are a warm, welcoming family led by two physicians with demanding careers and a deep commitment to both our work and our family. Our home is active and full of life, as we regularly balance busy professional schedules, frequent travel, and time spent with our five college age children. We also share our home with three beloved dogs who bring plenty of personality and an abundance of energy into the mix, and are truly cherished members of the family.
While life moves at a fast pace, home is where we reconnect, recharge, and enjoy quality time together.
We're seeking an experienced House Manager who can bring thoughtful organization, consistency, and proactive oversight to our household. We're looking for someone who can create the daily rhythm that keeps everything running seamlessly. Coming home after a long day—or returning from travel—to a home that feels organized, welcoming, and beautifully cared for would make a tremendous difference in our lives.
This role is about much more than checking off a to-do list; it's about anticipating needs, creating reliable systems, and providing the kind of behind-the-scenes support that allows our family to focus on the moments that matter most. Key Responsibilities Household Management & Organization- Create and maintain household organization systems
- Daily resets and prep home for cleaners
- Light tidying (dishes, wiping surfaces, and vacuuming high-traffic areas)
- Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs
- Assist with packing and unpacking for travel, as needed
- Light ingredient prep as needed (washing and chopping vegetables, prepping proteins, sous-chef style prep)
- Organize and put away weekly grocery orders
- Kitchen cleanup after meal prep and maintain kitchen tidiness
- Let dogs out in backyard during shift (Preferably between 12-1PM)
