About the RolePincus Goodman P.C. is seeking a professional, dependable, and detail-oriented Legal Receptionist / Office Assistant to join our team full-time.
This position plays an important role in the day-to-day operations of our firm and serves as the first point of contact for many of our clients. We are looking for someone who is personable, highly organized, comfortable managing multiple responsibilities, and able to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced legal office environment.
The ideal candidate takes initiative, communicates confidently and professionally, pays close attention to detail, and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and callers
- Answer and manage a multi-line telephone system professionally and efficiently
- Greet clients and visitors and assist with front-office needs
- Schedule appointments and assist with calendar coordination
- Route calls, messages, correspondence, and client inquiries to the appropriate attorney or staff member
- Assist attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks
- Prepare, organize, scan, file, and maintain documents and office records
- Assist with incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence
- Maintain accurate and organized client and office information
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception and front-office environment
- Provide additional administrative support as needed
- Prior receptionist, front desk, or administrative experience
required - Experience managing a multi-line telephone system strongly preferredli>
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional and confident phone presence
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Familiarity with Quick Books, legal practice-management software, or billing software is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Ability to remain composed, courteous, and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Prior experience in a law firm or legal office is preferred but
not required
. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates professionalism, reliability, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn.
