Position: Inventory Specialist - NSWCDD Dam Neck Activity (Active Interim Secret Clearance - Virginia Beach, V

ASE is looking for an Inventory Specialist to work in Virginia Beach, VA. The successful candidate will provide on‑site support at NSWC Dahlgren – Dam Neck Activity (DNA), located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, for day‑to‑day operations of the Corporate Operations Department, Property Management Division, in the areas of general equipment and operating materials & supplies (OM&S), distribution, disposal and reverse logistics, and screening of supply and stock requirements.

Clearance: A current interim Secret or active Secret required.

Responsibilities
  • On‑site property management support: tag/record general equipment line items in N‑ERP; conduct general equipment physical inventories; maintain subsidiary accounts for Assets Under Development, Fixed Assets, and Accumulated Depreciation in Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N‑ERP); provide assistance to Tech Departments on general equipment property and N‑ERP issues; maintain/reconcile general equipment property records and receipts and ensure records are auditable and meet FIAR standards;

    conduct inventory of containers; assist with proper packing of containers; and validate shipping manifests against container contents.
  • Interface directly with NSWCDD Technical Departments, local government POCs, Subject Matter Experts (SME), NSWCDD Inventory Specialists and Procurement Analysts, NSWCDD Personal Property Manager (PPM), NSWCDD Organizational Property Administrators (OPA), and the Container Control Officer (CCO).
  • Update standard operating procedures and process guides as needed.
  • Provide accurate and reliable metrics data that affect financial and operational reporting for Leadership.
  • Complete daily N‑ERP transactions accurately to ensure new assets are recorded within the required timeline.
  • Support Property Management meetings as needed.
  • Attend local training and knowledge transfer (KT) sessions.
  • Complete daily N‑ERP transactions accurately with no errors to ensure new assets are recorded within 7 days of receipt.
  • Complete daily N‑ERP actions (updates, issue transactions, etc.) accurately with no errors daily.
  • Complete physical inventories of property within defined time frames.
  • Conduct spot‑check inventories as required.
  • Conduct stock screening to maintain service level agreement daily.
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly Property reports including inventory, property pass, MILSTRIP, Stock Screening, OM&S and GE.
  • Assist with training technical customers on new processes developed for property screening and material management off‑site.
Qualifications
  • Must currently have a DoD issued Interim Secret clearance or active Secret security clearance.
  • Associate’s degree, or three (3) years or more of work experience.
  • Experience with inventory management, procurement, or purchasing.
  • Working experience utilizing N‑ERP for inventory control.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple online databases to resolve issues and respond to customer requests.
  • Must be a detail‑oriented and customer‑focused team member.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Desired Qualifications
  • Three years of related experience in inventory management.
  • Knowledge and experience with the N‑ERP tool.
  • Experience with creating Unique Material Master (UMM) records in N‑ERP.
