Position Summary

The Support Specialist provides high-touch operational support for Liberty Tax’s company-owned locations. This role ensures offices operate efficiently, remain compliant, and are fully supported to optimize revenue and profitability. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across a multi-location retail environment. This position plays a critical role in supporting field operations, vendor coordination, financial tracking, and cross-departmental communication.

Key Responsibilities
Operational & Facilities Support
  • Ensure company-owned offices are operationally ready, compliant, and supported throughout the tax season and off-season.
  • Coordinate the setup, transfer, disconnection, and maintenance of utilities and internet services.
  • Track lease agreements and partner with landlords, field leadership, and vendors to resolve maintenance and facility-related needs.
  • Monitor office acquisitions and sales, ensuring timely communication and coordination across departments.
  • Assist with Help Desk requests related to company-owned locations.
Financial & Billing Management
  • Review, code, and approve invoices for utilities, vendors, and service providers.
  • Track payments and ensure accurate billing reconciliation.
  • Assist with tracking and monitoring bank deposits.
  • Prepare and analyze operational and store performance reports using key metrics.
  • Manage vendor and supplier relationships, ensuring service level expectations and deliverables are met.
  • Maintain asset control processes and track office equipment and inventory.
  • Identify opportunities to improve vendor performance and reduce operational costs.
Data & Reporting
  • Create, maintain, and manage operational databases.
  • Compile, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources to identify discrepancies and trends.
  • Support process improvements by refining tracking systems and procedures.

Qualifications Required
  • 1–3 years of experience in operations support, facilities coordination, retail support, accounting support, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and interpret data from multiple sources.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, lookup functions, and data analysis tools).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple departments.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Preferred
  • Experience supporting multi-location retail or service-based operations.
  • Experience with lease administration, facilities coordination, or vendor management.
  • Familiarity with accounting or ticketing systems.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Primarily office-based role requiring extended periods of sitting (up to 8 hours per day).
  • Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.
  • May require infrequent regional travel.
  • Flexibility may be required during peak tax season (January–April).
