Who We Are

HII–Mission Technologies is seeking a skilled mid‑level Office Administrative Specialist to provide essential support for daily business operations. The Office Administrative Specialist supports the program team and program leadership across a broad range of administrative and operational functions, with primary emphasis on tracking procurement status, supporting subcontract customer service activities, maintaining organizational trackers and rosters, conducting research, and preparing routine written documents.

The role also assists in developing and updating internal policies and procedures and regularly communicates with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely information flow. This position performs as a mid-level individual contributor, working with moderate independence while executing established company and internal administrative processes.

What You Will Do
  • Represent the organizational unit on administrative matters.
  • Recommend, interpret, and/or implement company and internal administrative policies and procedures.
  • Perform as a generalist a combination of administrative tasks in such functional areas as finance, human resources, logistics/purchasing, research and development.
  • Prepare budgeting, project scheduling, and statistical reports as required.
  • Learn new computer systems and access methods to accomplish work tasks.
  • Take ownership of learning company business practices; seek out opportunities to learn and acquire new skillsets.
  • Bring a mindset for process improvement to all areas assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.
What We Are Looking For
  • 3 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s in a related field; 1 year of relevant experience with a master’s in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Customer service, administrative skills, and/or office work experience.
  • Top Secret Clearance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent time management, verbal, and written communication, organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with leadership and other staff members.
  • Flexibility and the ability to prioritize multiple work tasks while communicating conflicts to leadership.
  • Dependable team player.
Preferred:
Bonus Points For...
  • 3 years of customer service, administrative skills, and/or office work experience.
  • Interest in a career in Procurement, Logistics, Accounting, or a related profession.
  • Experience with Procurement, Purchasing, Logistics, and/or Accounting.
  • Experience with Smart Sheet, Deltek Costpoint, Hyland OnBase or other Accounting/AP Procurement systems.
  • Experience supporting senior leadership.
  • Experience working in a remote and/or hybrid position.
  • Experience working with/in US Government and/or supporting DoD or other Military customers.
Physical Requirements
  • Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
