Role Description The Community Association Collection Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Virginia Beach, VA. This position is responsible for managing assessment collections for community associations, including monitoring delinquent accounts, sending notices, and coordinating payment arrangements in accordance with association policies and applicable laws. Day-to-day tasks include communicating with homeowners regarding balances, documenting all collection activities, and working closely with association managers, board members, and legal partners to resolve past-due accounts.

The specialist will prepare reports on collection status, assist with payment plan administration, and support community outreach efforts to promote timely payments and understanding of association financial responsibilities. The role requires consistent in-office collaboration and professional interaction with residents and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Community Engagement abilities to build trust and maintain positive relationships with homeowners and association stakeholders.
  • Candidates should possess clear Communication skills and a commitment to high-quality Customer Service when handling sensitive collection discussions and resident inquiries.
  • Candidates should possess an understanding of Community Management principles, including association governing documents, assessment processes, and basic financial practices.
  • Candidates should have proficiency with office software (e.g., MS Office), data entry, and account tracking systems, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Relevant experience in collections, property management, accounting, or a related administrative role is beneficial.
  • Ability to work on-site full time in Virginia Beach, VA, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
