Muscle Foods USA, a division of EURPAC Service, Inc., is a nationwide wholesale distributor of sports nutrition and health products.
We are looking for a Sports Nutrition Buyer to join our team in Dunmore, Pennsylvania or Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Role OverviewIn this role you will be responsible for purchasing products for the company through evaluating vendors, negotiating deals, and reviewing trends while maintaining efficient inventory levels. You will have direct relationships with vendors in the sports nutrition space and maintain all inventory data in an ERP system.
Additional responsibilities include routine analysis of fill rates, product innovation, POS, and pricing as it relates to your brands, working closely with the sales team on forecasting to ensure adequate buys, and integrating sales and customer objectives into broader business activities.
Position Responsibilities- Analyze sales trends and customer needs to ensure optimal inventory
- Evaluate vendors on price, quality, and speed of delivery
- Manage purchase orders
- Recognize trends within brands through weekly sales reviews and apply updated buying parameters to maximize sales potential while minimizing exposure
- Maintain, analyze, and review vendor and customer reports
- Attend meetings and trade shows to make contacts with vendors
- Conduct and participate in routine vendor calls
- Excellent ability to initiate, prioritize, and multitask
- Strong organizational, tactical, and business cadence skills
- Ability to develop strategic, collaborative relationships with vendors
- Motivated, conscientious, and adaptable
- Task and detail oriented: maintaining timelines, scheduled reports, and communication across teams
- Forecasting/Allocating expertise
- Proactive in suggesting process improvements
- Willingness and ability to travel when needed
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting, Allocations or Supply Chain Management
- 5+ years’ experience, preferably in similar industry or consumer packaged goods
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
