Account Manager

Safety & Security International (SSI) is looking for an Account Manager to support the acquisition of accelerated equipment and logistics solutions aimed at enhancing defense survivability. This role involves managing existing accounts and fostering customer relationships within a designated territory. The position reports to the Team Lead, and preference will be given to local candidates within the Virginia Beach area.

• Facilitate understanding and guide established customers on various contract vehicle requirements.
• Source, verify compliance, and quote equipment according to customer request
• Process customer orders and ensure timely bookings
• Resolve post-order issues to maintain customer satisfaction
• Collaborate with territory teammates and internal departments to address customer needs
• Generate and analyze sales reports
• Negotiate pricing, payment, and delivery terms with vendors
• Achieve annual sales margin target
• Perform other duties assigned

• 2 years of experience in sales or a similar customer support role
• 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights, supported by experience in data interpretation and reporting

• Understanding of the government acquisition and procurement vehicles
• Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce experience preferred).
• Bachelor's Degree or prior military or government experience
• General Understanding of Order Management Systems

The salary range indicated represents the base compensation for this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's educational background, professional experience, and skill set. Full-time employees in this role are eligible for an uncapped commission.
