Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pump Station Foreman specializing in Civil Construction to lead and oversee the construction, installation, and commissioning of pump stations within pipeline projects. This role requires a proactive leader with a strong background in heavy civil construction, project management, and safety compliance. As a key member of our team, you will coordinate daily operations on-site, supervise crews, ensure quality standards are met, and maintain project schedules to deliver successful outcomes.

Your expertise will help drive efficiency, safety, and excellence throughout the project lifecycle in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise construction activities at pump station sites, ensuring adherence to project plans, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to develop and maintain detailed project schedule.
  • Oversee site safety programs in compliance with OSHA regulations; conduct regular safety audits and enforce safety protocols among all personnel.
  • Manage procurement, contracts, and budgets related to civil construction tasks; track costs and ensure projects stay within financial parameters.
  • Review technical drawings, schematics, and specifications; utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and quality control inspections.
  • Supervise crews on-site, providing guidance on construction methods, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and use of construction estimating tools like Heavy Job.
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards through rigorous inspections and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily progress, safety incidents, material usage, and equipment maintenance logs.
Skills
  • Extensive experience in heavy civil construction projects involving pipeline infrastructure and pump stations.
  • Proficiency with construction management software including Heavy Job, and other relevant tools.
  • Strong understanding of contracts administration and project scheduling techniques.
  • Demonstrated supervising experience with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for construction site safety management.
  • Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, construction estimating, budgeting, and quality control procedures.
  • Ability to operate electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters; familiarity with construction site safety protocols is essential.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in civil construction or pumping/dewatering operations
  • Prior experience in a leadership or foreman role preferred
  • Strong understanding of pumps, hoses, pipelines, and fluid systems
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Ability to read basic plans and follow project specifications
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to travel to and access active construction sites.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods while inspecting project sites.
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and navigate scaffolding or uneven terrain when necessary.
  • Ability to occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, or reach while reviewing work areas or site conditions.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain, during site visits.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, high-visibility vests, and protective footwear while on construction sites.
  • Ability to safely navigate active construction environments that may include noise, dust, moving equipment, and other construction-related hazards.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or carry materials, documents, or equipment up to 50 pounds.
