We are looking for an organized and dependable individual to oversee day-to-day operations on our job sites including quality control oversite.

Responsibilities
  • Manage daily activities on the job site to ensure project milestones and overall completion dates are met.
  • Verify that all work is performed according to contract documents.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and facilitate solutions.
  • Obtain all necessary inspections and ensure quality documentation of physical work.
  • Oversee fast-paced ground-up and build-out projects from start to finish.
  • Inspect all work for compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Assist subcontractors as needed to complete job tasks.
  • Provide leadership and managerial skills to subcontractors and team members.
  • Foster a professional work environment, promoting effective communication and constructive conflict resolution.
  • Coordinate work to ensure it is carried out in an orderly manner consistent with contract standards.
  • Inspect work for quality and timeliness daily.
  • Conduct and participate in meetings with internal staff and external stakeholders, including owners and subcontractors.

General Job Site Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Ensure job safety requirements are understood and implemented by all personnel and contractors, striving for zero injuries on all projects.
  • Secure tools and equipment at the end of each day and ensure project site security.
  • Conduct and participate in pre-construction, progress, and other project meetings.
  • Manage the punch list and project closeout process for timely completion.
  • Actively walk the construction site to address safety violations or deficiencies.
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements Education / Years of Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Building Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in construction management.
Skills
  • Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
  • Effective time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Sage Construction Management.
Licensure / Certification / Credentials
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to provide documentation verifying employment eligibility.
  • Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license.
Availability
  • Full time (40 hours) :
    Monday - Friday
Location / Commuting / Travel
  • Candidates must currently reside within commuting distance of the Hampton Roads region, including Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Suffolk, Newport News, or Portsmouth.
  • Candidates are responsible for their own transportation to and from work locations.
  • This role requires regular travel to project and job sites as part of normal job responsibilities.
  • Local candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates slightly outside the described region who are comfortable with an extended commute are welcome to apply.
Essential Physical Functions
  • Ability to travel to and access active construction sites. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods while inspecting project sites.
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and navigate scaffolding or uneven terrain when necessary.
  • Ability to occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, or reach while reviewing work areas or site conditions.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain, during site visits.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, high-visibility vests, and protective footwear while on construction sites.
