Position Overview

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead JLL's owner's representative work on assigned scopes within a large scale, long-duration federal development program in the Virginia Beach area.

What your day-to-day will look like

* Lead JLL's owner's representative role on assigned scopes, holding the vendor accountable to schedule, budget, and quality.

* Own change order review and approval workflows, adjudicating contested items with the vendor.

* Coordinate with the vendor's project management staff across construction phases.

* Interface with client stakeholders on program status, risks, and issue resolution.

* Prepare and deliver briefings to client leadership.

* Mentor Project Managers on the team and support their professional development.

* Contribute to program-level cost, schedule, and risk reporting to JLL leadership and the client.

Required qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

* Minimum 7 years of construction project management experience, including ground-up construction.

* Direct NAVFAC project experience or extensive Department of Defense construction background.

* Multi-family residential development experience in a developer or owner's representative role.

* Demonstrated experience managing vendors on programs of comparable scale.

* Change order review and approval experience on complex construction contracts.

* Ability to brief and interact with military leadership at the base command level and above.

* Willingness to work onsite in the Virginia Beach area five days per week.

Preferred qualifications

* PMP certification.

* Master's degree in a related field.

* Prior experience with Public-Private Venture (PPV) military housing programs or student housing privatization initiatives.

* Team leadership experience with direct reports.

* DoD Skill Bridge or Military Transition Program (MTP) participants with relevant senior project management experience are encouraged to apply.
