Klar Holmes and Associates is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Orthodontic Assistant to join our patient-focused team in Virginia Beach, VA. As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play an important role in delivering an exceptional patient experience while supporting our orthodontic team. You will assist with clinical procedures, provide patient education, and help ensure efficient daily operations in a welcoming and team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the orthodontist during patient treatment and procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment
  • Place and remove orthodontic appliances under the direction of the orthodontist and in accordance with state regulations
  • Take digital X-rays, impressions, scans, and orthodontic photographs
  • Educate patients on orthodontic treatment, appliance care, and oral hygiene practices
  • Sterilize instruments and follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols
  • Document patient information and treatment progress accurately
  • Support a positive, efficient, and patient-centered office experience

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of orthodontic or dental assisting experience (with supporting documentation)
  • Current X-ray Certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Commitment to providing excellent patient care
