Role DescriptionThe Residential Architectural Designer / Project Architect will support the design and documentation of residential and community-focused projects, including custom homes, townhouses, Builder Models, and multifamily developments. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing design concepts, producing construction drawings, refining architectural details, and coordinating project information with internal and external stakeholders. The role also involves reviewing plans for code compliance, assisting with site and community planning, and adjusting designs based on client and consultant feedback.
This is a part-time, flexible hours, 90% Remote requiring occasional in person coordinate meetings, requiring reliable communication, strong self-management, and the ability to meet project deadlines independently.
- Strong foundation in Residential Design, with experience in residential, wood framed construction.
- Proficiency in producing accurate Construction Drawings and detailed Drawing documentation for permitting and construction.
- Experience with relevant design software (e.g., Revit Primarily, AutoCAD) and digital collaboration tools.
- Understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction practices applicable to residential projects.
- Excellent visual, written, and verbal communication skills and the ability to clearly present design ideas.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a remote, contract environment.
- Degree in Architecture or a closely related field; professional licensure or progress toward licensure is a plus.
