Summary
Lead Pre‑Kindergarten Teacher with expertise in creating engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences. Skilled in guiding young children’s social, emotional, and cognitive growth while fostering a collaborative classroom environment. Strong communicator and team leader committed to high‑quality early childhood education.
Duties- Curriculum Coordination:
Develop and implement educational curriculum by creating classroom activities aligned with developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards. - Team Leadership:
Lead by example, promoting teaching team success through modeling best practices, coaching, and mentoring staff. - Lesson Planning & Instruction:
Plan and execute individual and group activities that actively engage children and support social, cognitive, and emotional development. - Parent Communication:
Maintain regular communication with parents via informal discussions, progress reports, and parent‑teacher conferences to support student growth. - Compliance & Policies:
Ensure all center policies and state regulations are consistently met. - Classroom Environment:
Maintain a healthy, safe, and secure classroom, ensuring hygiene and cleanliness standards are upheld. - Staff Supervision:
Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure adherence to planned activities, hygiene, and safety protocols. - Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate documentation, forms, and student records in compliance with center and state requirements. - Professional Development:
Pursue ongoing professional growth through a personal development plan to continually enhance teaching quality and classroom outcomes.
- High school diploma required;
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred. - Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching preschool‑aged children (3–5 years).
- Knowledge of child development and ability to create age‑appropriate curriculum.
- Strong classroom management and leadership skills; experience mentoring teaching staff a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Energetic, patient, and passionate about fostering a safe and nurturing learning environment.
- Ability to participate in physical activities, lift and assist children, and handle classroom materials.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and parent communication.
- Experience with play‑based or project‑based learning approaches.
- Knowledge of early literacy, numeracy, and social‑emotional development.
- Ability to integrate arts, music, and movement into daily lessons.
- Familiarity with educational technology for young learners.
- Strong classroom management and positive behavior guidance skills.
- Creativity, flexibility, and high energy to engage children.
- Excellent communication skills with both children and parents.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
