Classroom assistant for Kumon Center of Hilltop

Do you like a fast-paced work environment? Do you like working with kids? Kumon, the world's largest after-school enrichment program, seeks energetic Part-time Math and Reading Assistants for the Virginia Beach-Hilltop center's after-school math and reading program.

• Assisting students (pre-school through high school) with Math and Reading
• Grading math & reading worksheets
• Light administrative duties
• Knowledge of Kumon Method is preferred but not required
• Experience in a paid or non-paid job working with kids including teachers aide, tutoring, coach, etc is preferred
• Proficiency in HS Math (Alg II and/or Calc) and/or HS English/Writing is a plus

• Strong interpersonal/verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented
• Able to work independently and multi-task

• 60 day review with opportunity for growth

• Hours per week vary on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons. Several positions open.
• Hourly rate
• NO WEEKENDS

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $7.25-$9/hr DOE
