Research & Instruction Librarian

Work Location: Virginia Beach, VA

• Provide research assistance in person and virtually for designated hours
• Implement appropriate courses and training tools for library instruction
• Provide collection development for areas assigned
• Develop, organize, and manage the Robertson Archives
• Work with the Chancellor to collect and document the Robertson materials

Additional responsibilities include participating in librarian professional development activities and library meetings, and serving on designated Regent University committees.

• Education:
  
  This position requires a Master’s degree from an ALA accredited institution. Second master’s degree preferred
• Prerequisites for the job: 3-5 years prior experience working in an Academic Library setting providing instruction and research assistance. Knowledge of emerging educational models and methods desirable
• Personal Characteristics:
  Must demonstrate excellent teaching ability, good communication and interpersonal skills. Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
