Early Childhood - Teacher Assistant​/Aide

About This Role

The Teacher Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Teachers and the Director by fostering a nurturing environment for children and collaborating on activities that enhance education quality. This position requires effective communication, active listening, and teamwork in a dynamic environment. As a key member of the staff, the Teacher Assistant observes and documents children's growth and progress, sharing this information with parents and staff.

Under the guidance of the Teacher and Director, the Teacher Assistant designs and implements engaging activities tailored to children's interests and needs.

• Support the implementation of educational programs by engaging children in activities and encouraging participation.
• Assume responsibility for maintaining a clean, organized, and well‑stocked classroom environment.
• Maintain regular communication with parents through informal discussions and progress updates.
• Model good hygiene and self‑help skills to promote positive behavior in children.
• Ensure a smooth daily transition for children from home to the child care center.
• Adhere to all center policies and state regulations.
• Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance skills and improve quality of care.

• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
• Ability to work well with others.
• High energy.
• An understanding of child development.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
