Good Faith Pay Range:
In accordance with Virginia law, the good-faith hourly pay range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, skills, and other legitimate business factors.
Advanced Technology Institute is seeking a Director of Education. The Director of Education provides academic leadership at the institution and is responsible for adherence to accreditation standards. The Director of Education is responsible for academic policy development and implementation including academic standards, curriculum development and maintenance, program assessment, and the evaluation and training of faculty. The Director of Education is responsible for academic long-range planning and the overall academic program budget.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Academic Oversite and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, institutional, and programmatic accreditation regulations and policies.
- Ensure all faculty members are appropriately credentialed to teach assigned courses.
- Coordinate and manage the institution’s Institutional Effectiveness Plan (IEP).
- Establish academic policy and procedures.
- Assist in developing and managing the educational budget.
- Coordinate the planning, development, coordination, review, and administration of all educational programs.
- In conjunction with Campus Vice President, Director of Training Operations, and Academic Program Managers, oversees faculty recruitment, professional development, evaluation, and curriculum implementation.
- Student Success:
- Coordinate strategies with school leadership to achieve desired organizational results in areas of student satisfaction, student certification and skill achievement, student retention, graduation rates, and satisfactory student progress.
- Oversee the library/learning resource center to ensure its effectiveness in support of student learning.
- Ensure the collection of all necessary data related to the assessment of student learning (e.g. assessment, certification data, and/or other information supporting Institutional Effectiveness plans.)
Requirements:
Education/Experience
- Master's Degree from an accredited institution.
- 5-10 years of combined experience in academic operations of a college or university, or related.
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills/Abilities

- Experience with supervision, development, and evaluation of faculty and staff.
- Strong record of academic and professional leadership and achievement.
- Experience in a hands‑on learning environment.
- Exemplary interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills.
- Personal computer skills: proficiency in student data management systems (Campus Nexus) and Microsoft products; ability to learn and apply other software.
- Knowledge of classroom technologies that enhance the student learning experience.
- Ability to communicate openly and respectfully with all the institution’s constituencies, including students, faculty, alumni, administration, staff, the community, and accrediting bodies.
- Orientation toward results.
