Environmental Compliance Coordinator

Location

Virginia Beach, VA (Primary location of assignment: Candidate preference to Virginia Beach, will consider Norfolk and Chesapeake)

The Planet Group is seeking an Environmental Compliance Coordinator to ensures company compliance with environmental, chemical, waste management, and permit regulations at various locations in the Eastern Region of Virginia, associated with the client's Electric Distribution operational teams.

• Share responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of work sites, to comply with regulatory and company Environmental, Health and Safety standards and procedures.
• Communicate and prepare reports for submittal internally, externally, to governmental agencies and customers.
• Support the client's employees and other contracted staff, inspect, or assess, and provide recommendations regarding environmental compliance issues to personnel responsible for compliance tasks and management.
• Provide environmental training to site personnel in handling of chemicals and waste materials, spill prevention, erosion, and sediment control and other environmental compliance topics and requirements.
• Environmental Field Experience
• Erosion & Sediment Control and Stormwater Certifications
• Experience related to environment regulation and applicable environmental requirements for environmental Scope and permits

Minimum of 4+ years of experience hands on in environmental field work handling work for projects related to environmental requirements for environmental scope and permits
