PositionThe role:
Civil Aviation Engineer
, working on large‑scale aviation design projects including plan preparation, design development and quantity take‑offs, collecting and evaluating project data.
Location options:
Pittsburgh or Philadelphia, PA;
Baltimore, MD;
Reston, Richmond or Virginia Beach, VA.

Our Aviation Team is experiencing exciting growth within our established practice with a variety of interesting projects working with a diverse, multidisciplined team.
Responsibilities- Work under the supervision of senior staff to perform quantity takeoffs, computer modeling, design calculations and plan set production for military and commercial airfields across disciplines such as earthwork, pavements and drainage.
- Collaborate on project assignments with other engineers and technicians in the discipline group.
- Assist with duties assigned by Project Engineers and/or Project Managers.
- Travel approximately 10–20% nationally to support nation‑wide airport projects.
- Attend and/or conduct client meetings and interact with clients virtually and in‑person.
- Provide engineering services that include design research and design reviews.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Previous professional experience in the design and/or construction of aviation infrastructure projects.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills.
- Registered EIT (Engineer in Training) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Ability to execute assigned tasks accurately and on time.
- Occasional travel as needed.
- Previous design project management experience.
- CADD skills including AutoCAD.
- Professional Engineer (PE).

CompensationBase salary range $110,000 to $135,000, determined by location and factors such as skills, experience and education.
