Computer​/Electrical Engineer III

WR has an opportunity for a Computer/Electrical Engineer III to design, develop, test, and support complex electronic and system‑level solutions, ensuring performance, reliability, and mission readiness across hardware, software, and networked environments.

• Independently design electronic circuits, components and integrated systems, utilizing ferroelectric, nonlinear, dielectric, phosphorescent, photo‑conductive, and thermoelectric properties of materials
• Autonomously design test control apparatus and equipment, determine procedures for testing products and direct engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment
• Direct field operations and maintenance of electronic installations
• Evaluate operational systems and recommend design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions or changes in system requirements
• Use computer‑assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
• Plan and design an organization’s systems infrastructure, including the implementation and design of hardware and software running LINUX‑based OS
• Analyze, develop, modify, test and maintain the system
• Verify and validate systems and meet internal and external requirements
• Diagnose problems and provide recommendations for improvement on existing and new systems
• Analyze potential COTS (Intel) hardware for applicability within operational systems based on specifications
• Develop and execute lab tests of target hardware and networks in operationally relevant scenario
• Collect and analyze data and make recommendations for engineering solutions
• Work across multiple technical domains to understand hardware, software, system, and operational constraints and needs
• May provide technical direction to less experienced personnel
• May be responsible for evaluating performance of junior staff and/or subordinates
• May assist in the selection, training, and development of staff
• May lead and direct limited tasks assigned to junior personnel

• You’ll bridge the gap between engineering design and real‑world performance

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Six (6)+ years of full‑time professional experience in systems engineering, with two (2)+ of the years being full‑time experience at the system level in any of the following areas:
  • concepts operation
  • productivity studies/analyses
  • performance analyses
  • test and evaluation
  • post‑delivery support

• Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering
• Experience with RF, Networks and Signal Processing
