Senior Engineer CHITRA

Chitra is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Engineer to support Navy engineering and sustainment programs. This role is responsible for leading complex engineering efforts, reviewing technical documentation, and supporting mission‑critical initiatives that enhance operational readiness and lifecycle support.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to lead and mentor junior personnel while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic government contracting environment.

• Review technical data packages to ensure compliance with engineering standards, specifications, and program requirements
• Evaluate engineering and technical referrals in accordance with established processes and procedures
• Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Quality Control and Quality Assurance (QC/QA) systems
• Review, validate, and develop technical data, technical manuals, and provisioning packages
• Analyze performance data and assist in the development of Readiness Based Sparing (RBS) models
• Perform a wide range of complex engineering and technical tasks in support of Navy and DoD programs
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior contractor personnel
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support project execution, sustainment initiatives, and engineering solutions
• Apply engineering expertise and professional judgment to plan, prioritize, and accomplish program objectives
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout project execution

• Active Secret Security Clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant engineering experience
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical efforts and mentor junior team members
• Experience reviewing technical documentation and engineering data packages
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment

• Experience supporting Navy, DoD, or federal government programs
• Familiarity with lifecycle sustainment, provisioning documentation, and technical manual development
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance/Quality Control methodologies
• Experience with Readiness Based Sparing (RBS) analysis or sustainment modeling
• Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
