Senior Quality Control Inspector – Supplier

Travel required: 75 - 85% through the USA

Seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Control Inspector – Supplier for an Electrical Contractor to support our Procurement team through the execution of supplier quality inspections and audits.

This role ensures that critical materials and engineered equipment meet or exceed customer, contractual, and company quality standards. The Inspector will review specifications and drawings, provide feedback on supplier testing and inspections, identify and help resolve manufacturing issues, and communicate audit findings with clear recommendations. The position also supports supplier prequalification, NCR review and corrective actions, project-level quality oversight, and preparation of inspection reports and fabrication checklists.

This role requires strong technical knowledge of electrical equipment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 85%, including occasional international travel.

Must be able to evaluate and perform quality audits on the following equipment:

• Transformers including power (oil‑filled and dry‑type), low‑voltage dry‑type distribution units, and isolation transformers.
• Switchgear systems such as MV/LV switch gear, metal‑clad and metal‑enclosed gear, gas‑insulated switch gear (GIS), busway systems, panel boards, and circuit breakers.
• UPS equipment including static switches, PDUs, and inverters.
• Generators used for backup and critical power applications.
• Energy storage and renewable power equipment including BESS units and PV inverter modules.
• Electrical conductors and cabling such as DC feeders, medium‑voltage cables, MCM conductors, and wire harness assemblies.
