Job Description
Dewberry is seeking Entry Level Transportation Engineers to join our Transportation Group in the Virginia Beach, VA office. This position offers professional growth and the opportunity to work on challenging projects using the latest technology. You will work as part of a team on all facets of transportation engineering, including design of horizontal and vertical alignments, drainage systems, erosion and sediment control, maintenance and traffic scheme protection, and preparation of construction and right‑of‑way acquisition plans.
RequiredSkills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (with emphasis in Transportation) required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency using Micro Station required;
Geopak and Open Roads experience preferred - Experience working on MDOT SHA, MdTA, and/or VDOT plans in design‑bid‑build or design‑build delivery preferred
- Working knowledge of MDOT SHA, MdTA, and/or VDOT standards preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office software
- Desire to work in a team environment
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) is preferred
