We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Land Surveyor to join our team.
Location:
Virginia Beach, VA.
Pay: $70,000 - $85,000 annually.
Role and Responsibilities- Conduct field surveys using GPS, total stations, data collectors, and other surveying equipment.
- Perform boundary, topographic, construction layout, and as-built surveys.
- Collect, process, and verify survey data with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Assist in preparing survey drawings, maps, legal descriptions, point clouds, and related documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field crews to ensure project requirements are met.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and properly store all surveying equipment.
- Ensure compliance with company safety protocols.
- Support licensed surveyors and senior staff with project-related tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience in land surveying or construction layout preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, maps, and legal descriptions.
- Strong math, problem-solving, and spatial reasoning skills.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- LSIT/PLS license required.
- Professional surveying license required.
- Must be a US Citizen.
