Land Surveyor at NDI Engineering Virginia , VA

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Land Surveyor to join our team.

Location:

Virginia Beach, VA.

Pay: $70,000 - $85,000 annually.

• Conduct field surveys using GPS, total stations, data collectors, and other surveying equipment.
• Perform boundary, topographic, construction layout, and as-built surveys.
• Collect, process, and verify survey data with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Assist in preparing survey drawings, maps, legal descriptions, point clouds, and related documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field crews to ensure project requirements are met.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and properly store all surveying equipment.
• Ensure compliance with company safety protocols.
• Support licensed surveyors and senior staff with project-related tasks.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or a related field is a plus.
• Experience in land surveying or construction layout preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, maps, and legal descriptions.
• Strong math, problem-solving, and spatial reasoning skills.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• LSIT/PLS license required.
• Professional surveying license required.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Willingness to work onsite.
