Cad Technician

CAD Technician

Prepare survey plats and maps, including boundary, as-built, topographic, and utility route surveys to meet requirements of agencies such as VDOT, USACE, and NAVFAC. Work assignments vary by office needs.

• Manage individual projects effectively.
• Conduct courthouse research.
• Process data collected by survey crews.
• Prepare CAD files and perform construction staking calculations.
• Engage in occasional field work as necessary.

• Minimum of 5 years of surveying-related experience.
• Proficient use of Carlson and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience with or exposure to Micro Station with Geo Pak and/or Open Roads.
• Completion of a Survey/CAD related degree from an accredited college, vocational/technical school, or military training may substitute for two years of the required experience.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision to complete projects with demanding scopes and schedules.

This role may involve temporary assignments to other offices' projects, requiring travel throughout Virginia and surrounding states. Weekend stays and overtime may be necessary. Offices are located in Virginia, Maryland, and Florida.

Permanent, fully onsite position in Virginia Beach, VA.

• Pay range: $58,240.00 - $70,720.00 per year.
