CAD Technician
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of survey plats and maps, including boundary surveys, as‑built surveys, topographic surveys, and utility route surveys, ensuring compliance with the requirements of various agencies such as VDOT, USACE, and NAVFAC. Work assignments will vary based on office needs and will be communicated by the office manager.
Responsibilities- Manage individual projects effectively.
- Conduct courthouse research.
- Process data collected by survey crews.
- Prepare CAD files and perform construction staking calculations.
- Engage in occasional field work as necessary.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of surveying‑related experience.
- Proficient use of Carlson and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience with or exposure to Micro Station with Geo Pak and/or Open Roads.
- Satisfactory completion of a Survey/CAD‑related degree from an accredited college, vocational/technical school, or military training may be substituted for two years of the required experience.
Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to work with minimal supervision to complete projects with demanding scopes and schedules.
This role may involve temporary assignments to other offices' projects, which could require travel. While every attempt is made to balance personal schedules, travel may be unexpected and require weekend stays. The candidate must be willing and able to travel throughout Virginia and surrounding states and work overtime as needed. Offices are located in Virginia, Maryland, and Florida.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $58,240.00 – $70,720.00 per year.
