Timmons Group is currently seeking an experienced Land Development Project Manager to join our growing team. If you’re passionate about civil engineering, client success, and mentoring future talent, we want to hear from you. As a Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of land development projects from concept through construction.
We assist our clients with zoning entitlements, civil site plan approvals, and construction administration support. Our project engineers typically work in a team of 2-3 design engineers and a project manager to bring our client’s vision to life. The dynamic environment and culture of teamwork and diverse training opportunities fosters a sense of ownership in successful project outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Design project components using Civil 3D and other industry-standard tools.
- Perform engineering calculations and solve real-world challenges.
- Prepare technical specifications and construction documents.
- Develop cost estimates and manage project budgets.
- Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
- Active P.E. license in Virginia, and/or in states where Timmons Group conducts business (or ability to obtain).
- 6–10 years of civil engineering experience, with a focus on land development.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and schedules simultaneously.
- Strong client relationship and business development skills.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and other relevant design software.
Compensation
:
Our best estimate for the salary range is $90,000-$140,000. Offers are based on internal equity, experience, skills, education, credentials and role complexity.
