In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Focus on large-scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects, leading significant portions of facilities throughout the cycle of design and construction, and startup phases as a technical specialist or lead.
- Take hands‑on involvement in developing reports or technical memos, completing studies, detailed designs, and specifications, collaborating to complete cost estimates, and preparing contract documents.
- Participate in scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration for infrastructure projects, including involvement in business development and preparation of proposals.
- Coordinate with internal and external team members on moderately complex projects.
- Assist with identification of key client interests and drivers on less complex projects.
- Communicate client interests and drivers to project team members and develop approaches to accommodate these concerns in the performance of the work on less complex projects.

Key Responsibilities- Perform design of projects from the conceptual and bid phase through design completion for project needs and requirements set by the project managers based on client needs.
- Assist the Engineering Manager in maintaining project schedules and budgets.
- Assist the Engineering Manager in managing sub‑consultants.
- Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, interface directly with the client or sub‑consultants.
- Support business development by writing technical approaches, scopes of work, and presentations to clients.
- Utilize knowledge of regularly used civil concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the water engineering industry.
- Apply knowledge to complex projects, finding and developing non‑standard design solutions to better serve clients’ project specifications.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to less experienced engineers.
- Be responsible for effective communication with other engineering disciplines and the project team.
- Prepare a variety of complex engineering deliverables.
- Perform complex research and develop recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection.
