Position: Guest Experience Team Member - Free Movie Passes

Description

Team members are classified based on theatre needs and employee availability as either variable hour, part‑time fixed, part‑time regular or full‑time hourly employees. Their primary responsibility is ensuring guests receive exceptional service. Employees may be scheduled to work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher. They must represent Regal in a manner consistent with our mission statement and policies, including:

  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Handling of emergency situations when called upon
  • General cleaning duties
  • Compliance with company dress code
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Box Office
  • Operate POS system, ensuring accuracy of cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemed discount tickets, passes and coupons.
  • Up‑sell/suggestive selling of Premium Viewing Experience (3D, RPX, IMAX).
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
  • Ensure tickets are sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy.
  • Respond to phone calls and questions from guests in a manner consistent with our guest service philosophy.
Concession
  • Operate POS system, ensuring accuracy of cash drawer and all related payments, and manage concession stock inventory.
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
  • Operate, prepare and clean all concession related equipment.
  • Up‑sell/suggestive selling.
  • Comply with all local, state and federal food safety laws.
  • Abide by all federal and state laws regarding breaks and/or meal periods.
  • Ensure required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable.
  • For theatres that sell alcohol, be of legal age to sell or serve alcohol according to state or local laws.
  • Read and understand training materials covering sexual harassment and discrimination.
Usher
  • Tear tickets, collect and deposit appropriate stubs, and direct patrons to their auditoriums.
  • Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable.
  • Manage crowd control and assist guests in finding seats when necessary.
  • Enforce the MPAA rating system.
  • Conduct in‑theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, watch for film and content theft, and help maintain a safe quality environment.
  • Report to management any problems, discrepancies or unusual situations that arise at the theatre.
  • Perform in‑auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed by management.
  • Clean auditoriums at the end of scheduled shows and maintain clean restrooms, lobby area, hallways and other areas outside the auditorium.
  • Monitor the cleanliness and operation of theatre vending equipment.
  • Assist with all opening and closing duties as assigned by management.

Education/Experience

Completion of the cast certification program as a cast member and as a box office cashier, or progress toward completion required.

Language Ability

Good public speaking, listens effectively, and responds clearly and directly.

Math Ability

Performs calculations with speed and accuracy and identifies and corrects errors.

Reasoning Ability

Identifies problems, gathers relevant data, notes possible causes, evaluates information to recognize alternatives and reach conclusions based on evidence. Performs under pressure and/or opposition.

Personal Skills

Excellent communication with customers, co‑workers and management. Establishes goals, budgets time, and sets priorities to achieve desired objectives.

Physical Demands

Frequent standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, speaking, hearing. Occasionally climbs or balances, stoops, kneels, crouches or crawls. May lift up to 60 lbs. Vision requires close, distance, peripheral, depth perception and focus adjustment.
