The Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst performs advanced accounting and financial analysis activities across the organization. This role independently manages complex accounting tasks, supports month-end close and audit activities, and leads financial planning and analysis (FP&A) efforts including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic modeling. The position serves as a key business partner to operational leaders by translating financial data into clear insights that support sound decision-making, operational efficiency, and long-term planning.
WhatYou’ll Do In This Role
- Prepare, review, and post monthly journal entries and ensure accurate integration of subsidiary systems into the general ledger.
- Support and coordinate month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain general ledger integrity, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports.
- Prepare lead schedules and support documentation for the annual audit.
- Analyze accounts receivable, census, and revenue trends.
- Lead financial modeling, forecasting, and long-range planning activities.
- Develop and maintain integrated three-statement financial models (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow).
- Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to evaluate the financial impact of operational changes, inflation, or market conditions.
- Support annual budgeting by collaborating with department leaders to align financial plans with organizational goals.
- Manage rolling forecasts and provide timely insight into year-end projections.
- Analyze actual-to-budget variances, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and management reporting tools.
- Prepare executive-level financial summaries and presentations.
- Act as a financial business partner to departments such as Marketing, Sales, and Operations.
- Identify and recommend improvements to accounting and financial processes.
- Support internal controls and compliance with GAAP and organizational policies.
- Leverage automation and emerging tools, including AI-enabled solutions, to improve efficiency and data quality.
- Participate in special departmental or organization-wide projects as assigned.
- Complete all required compliance and training activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
