Tax Senior Manager - Virginia , VA

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager to support our Core Tax Services team in Virginia Beach, Virginia on a hybrid schedule (average 2-3 days per week in office). The role includes managing the client’s tax compliance needs, anticipating tax and business issues, recognizing tax planning opportunities, serving as the main point of contact, handling workflows, deadlines, deliverables, and training less experienced staff.

• Solve problems for middle‑market clients in manufacturing, real estate, construction, professional services, and other industries.
• Manage engagements and provide a knowledgeable review of complex individual and partnership returns.
• Build and serve high‑net‑worth individual clients with estate, gift and trust tax planning and compliance needs.
• Leverage strong project‑management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
• Lead tax staff, seniors, and managers in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Demonstrate superior client service skills.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting;
  Master’s degree preferred.
• CPA certified with an active CPA license.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in public accounting with at least 2 years of managerial experience.
• Strong background and understanding of C and S Corporation, LLC, and partnership taxation.
• Background in pass‑through entity taxation; preferred partnership experience includes entity structuring, operating agreement review and consultation, compliance, allocations, partner transactions, and related matters.
• Experience with complex individual tax compliance and planning as well as estate tax compliance and planning is a plus.

Competitive compensation with a pay range of $122,500 to $202,900 based on role, experience, and location.
