Therole
The Accounts Payable Clerk ensures accuracy and compliance of payments and invoicing. A significant portion of essential job functions below are required to be performed onsite.
Job Responsibilities- Administrative assignments such as physically scanning, extracting documentation and workflow review.
- Physically sort and distribute department’s incoming mail.
- Research returned checks and utility bills for payment or nonpayment.
- Monitor and respond to inquiries in the department’s email inbox and voicemail.
- Support staff to ensure timely processing of payments through various software systems.
- Review payments and backup for accuracy.
- Research vendor inquiries about payments and invoices.
Education
High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Experience
- Minimum one year of general office experience.
- Preferred minimum of one year of accounts payable experience.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Ability to work in a high transaction volume environment.
- Knowledge of accounts payable policies/procedures and best practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of Excel.
- Good math skills.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Detail oriented and strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Strong sense of teamwork and work ethic.
