Vice President of Finance

Threat Tec, LLC is a Veteran‑Owned Small Business specializing in Operational Environment (OE) replication and Threat Emulation/Wargaming solutions. We collaborate with our nation's defenders to deliver innovative, high‑impact solutions for public and private sector customers.

The Vice President of Finance reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and leads all accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls for the organization.

• Supervise the accounting and finance departments and contribute to goal setting.
• Ensure compliance with DoD regulations, policies, procedures, and GAAP. Provide direction for AP, payroll, AR, billing, GL, and project control transactions.
• Manage banking relationships, oversee daily and weekly cash management, and approve outgoing payments. Advise the CEO on cash position.
• Facilitate the monthly close process and prepare accurate, timely financial statements.
• Coordinate the annual budget process and periodic forecast updates, providing comparison reports to stakeholders.
• Update accounting policies and procedures as necessary.
• Collaborate with external consultants on CostPoint issues, upgrades, and optimization.
• Coordinate annual insurance renewals and coverage updates with external risk‑management broker.
• Work closely with HR on employee onboarding, terminations, multi‑state business and tax registrations, and related accounting matters.
• Monitor indirect rate calculations and contribute to the preparation of the annual incurred cost submission.
• Deliver briefings and project status reports to management, responding to data requests and providing financial analyses.
• Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors, DCAA, and financial institutions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as necessary.
• Adhere to all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
• 15+ years of experience, including 10+ years of supervisory experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge of DoD contracting regulations and policies, preferably in a services environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Deltek CostPoint.
• CPA is required.
• M.B.A. or comparable graduate degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in team management, leadership, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
