Sentara is hiring a Pharmacist - IT Specialist to support the Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacy IT team in Virginia Beach, VA.

The Pharmacist - IT Specialist will serve as a critical member of the Ambulatory Clinical Support Team for Pharmacy, providing technical expertise and operational support for Epic-based applications. This role ensures seamless integration of clinical workflows with technology solutions, driving efficiency, compliance, and measurable outcomes across ambulatory care settings.

• Bachelors Level Degree in Pharmacy (Required)

• Doctorate Level Degree in Pharmacy (Preferred)

• Virginia Pharmacist License (Required)

• Epic Willow Inventory, Epic Willow Inpatient, Epic Willow Ambulatory certification (preferred)

• 2 Years of Pharmacist experience in a Hospital or Clinical Setting (required)

• Experience in one of the following areas is required:
  Technical Expertise in Epic, Developing projects with IT teams, Hospital Protocol Development, Clinical Informatics
  .

• Proficiency in using SQL for reporting and data analysis; experience with HL7 standards and system integration required.

• Hands-on experience in Epic Willow Build
  , including configuration and maintenance of Willow Inpatient, Willow Ambulatory, and/or Willow Inventory modules.

• Proven ability to analyze and optimize pharmacy workflows using Epic tools to improve patient safety, medication management, and operational efficiency.

• Familiarity with Epic upgrade cycles
  , validation, and testing processes for pharmacy modules.
