Job DescriptionAlpha Wound Care Solutions and Wellness, LLC in Virginia Beach is seeking a Board-Certified Physician Assistant (PA) with experience in wound care to join our team. This is a full-time position offering 40 hours per week, including shifts Monday-Friday only.
You are a compassionate, patient-centered Physician Assistant who will provide specialized care to patients with various wound conditions, utilizing your skills and knowledge to improve their quality of life. You must have the ability to work independently, and as part of a team – with strong communication and organizational skills. A Virginia state license is required.

QualificationsAdvanced certification in wound care (e.g., CWCN, CWS, or equivalent).
Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program in a related field.
Experience working in a wound care clinic.
Excellent patient communication and education capabilities.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
Clinical research experience in wound care.
Current Physician Assistant license and wound care certification.
Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience.
Experience in wound care and management.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Knowledge of hyperbaric oxygen therapy principles and practices.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities.
Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and medical equipment.
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive wound assessments and develop complex wound care treatment plans.
Educate patients and their families about wound care procedures and recovery expectations.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Document patient progress, treatments, and responses accurately in medical records.
Provide post-treatment follow-up care and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Participate in the development and evaluation of clinical protocols and treatment guidelines.
Conduct or contribute to wound care and related research to improve patient outcomes.
Offer training and support to clinical staff and other healthcare providers on wound care and vascular procedures.
Stay updated with continuous education in wound care advancements.
Evaluate and manage potential complications arising from wound conditions.
