We provide you with all the training you need to learn and grow both personally and professionally as an ABA therapist. Whether you are an experienced registered behavior technician (RBT) or are starting out as a behavior therapist, we offer mentorship from our experienced master’s level clinical director and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA’s) who truly care about the career growth of our behavior technicians.
All Aboard ABA strives to provide quality ABA treatment so entry level behavior technicians are expected to complete the required RBT training and sit for the RBT exam within 6 months after beginning the RBT coursework in order to maintain employment.
- Providing 1:1 ABA therapy in home and community-based environments
- Implementing individualized treatment plans developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Collecting data on ABA programs using Rethink Behavioral Health to assist BCBA with monitoring the client’s progress
- Completing required clinical documentation on time (e.g., session summary notes)
- Communicating effectively with BCBA regarding client’s treatment plan goals, progress, and concerns regularly
- Verbally updating parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the BCBA
- Maintaining a high level of professionalism including dress, timeliness, communication, client confidentiality/HIPAA, Behavior Analyst Certification Board’s ethical standards, and professional boundaries with client, parents, caregivers, community members, and other All Aboard ABA employees
- Utilizing safe, positive behavioral support techniques and ethically sound teaching procedures when working with clients
- Participating in team meetings and additional trainings related to clinical skills, professional development, ethics, and technology so current job duties can be performed to the highest clinical standard possible
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment
- Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of All Aboard ABA based on the company’s needs and/or the RBT/behavior therapist’s needs (e.g., assist with long-term career goals)
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent high school-level education
- Able to pass a criminal background check and an abuse registry check
- First Aid/CPR certified or will be upon being hired
- Ability to provide negative TB test results
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid car insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Afternoon Availability
- Ability to complete required training based on current certifications and experience, including but not limited to the 40 hours of qualified RBT training and initial RBT competency assessment
- Additional Requirement for Behavior Therapists without an RBT certification:
Ability to apply and pass RBT exam within 6 months of beginning the 40 hours of qualified RBT training - Experience working with children with developmental disabilities
- Experience working with children with behavior issues
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
