Position SummaryThe Banquet Server is responsible for providing food and beverage service during hotel-hosted events such as weddings, conferences, and corporate meetings. This role ensures guests receive exceptional service while maintaining banquet standards and cleanliness throughout the event.
Key Responsibilities- Greet guests in a professional and friendly manner
- Set up banquet rooms and tables according to banquet event orders (BEOs)
- Serve food and beverages during events in a timely, courteous, and efficient manner
- Clear tables, remove service items, and reset rooms as needed throughout the event
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all service areas
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of buffets, food stations, and bar areas
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and banquet team for smooth service flow
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ensure proper handling of all hotel equipment and report any maintenance issues
- Respond to guest needs and requests promptly and professionally
- Work collaboratively with the Banquet Captain and other servers to execute event plans
