The Housekeeping Team Leader serves as a working lead within the Housekeeping Department, providing day‑to‑day guidance and support to housekeeping staff while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service. This position acts as a key liaison between housekeepers and leadership and serves as the primary point of contact in the absence of the Housekeeping Supervisor.

• Serve as the go‑to resource for housekeeping team members, answering questions and providing day‑to‑day guidance.
• Act as the department lead in the absence of the Housekeeping Supervisor, ensuring smooth operations and appropriate staff coverage.
• Assist with training, onboarding, and coaching team members while reinforcing department policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Coordinate daily work assignments, monitor performance, and inspect assigned areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and sanitation expectations are met.
• Work alongside the housekeeping team to complete routine cleaning duties, support special projects, and assist in Residential and Medical Housekeeping areas as needed.
• Maintain department readiness by monitoring supplies and equipment, promoting safety and regulatory compliance, and communicating operational needs and concerns to leadership.

• Previous housekeeping experience required, preferably in healthcare, senior living, hospitality, or a related environment.
• Prior leadership, supervisory, or team‑lead experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation practices, safety standards, and housekeeping equipment.
• Ability to train, coach, and motivate team members effectively.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing operational needs.
• Working knowledge of residential and medical housekeeping practices preferred.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and provide shift coverage when needed.
• Reliable transportation to work and punctuality.
• Positive attitude and teamwork orientation.
