Position: Network Engineer II with Security Clearance
MANTECH s eeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Engineer II to join our team in Dam Neck, VA. This position is on-site 5 days a week. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Provides technical expertise in the management of a public and/or private network such as Internet protocol (IP) networks, wide area networks (WANs), and public switched telephone networks

* Plans, designs, installs, maintains, monitors, analyzes, troubleshoots, modifies and supports network communications systems to provide maximum performance and availability

* Plans, designs, implements and supports local and wide area networks (LANs/WANs) in the areas of Internet connectivity, capacity planning, routing, switching, server load balancing, network security, and wireless

* Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own area and general knowledge of related areas

* Solves complex problems by taking a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information

* Explains complex, difficult and/or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Provides leadership to a team including coaching on performance, coordinating activities, and checking on quality and work progress

* Requires tact and diplomacy to communicate ideas in a concise and logical way.

Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree (4 years of experience can be substituted for a degree)

* Four (4) Years of information technology experience

Preferred Qualifications
* Familiarity with the United States Navy preferred.

* Experience with NSWC Corona RS Division and NCTE
Clearance Requirements
* Must have a current/active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS.

Physical Requirements
* 10% travel anticipated.

* Work will require movement from Man Tech Site to Government for client meetings and support functions.

* The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which involve delivering presentations.
